One could still use his certifications for reference, and what additional education and certifications prefered, to be an inspector. And the rest of the site, to partially know what your getting in to.

What do you mean? Inspectors bid for the job of inspecting? I thought they just got a call and off they went.

Not with Ray's org Gary. Welcome to the new world of inspections for less. He gets the hard up inspectors to bid on them and keeps the rest for himself.

I'm impressed. How many years in the making? Ten

biggest tip

http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp& ... 47431c6a4a

do you know how to access the stats?

I've been tinkering with a new site. Anyone in the area looking for work? The real purpose will be a "labor shop" But you gotta meet my standards. I don't expect it to do much for at least a couple of years. Besides I'm not done with my gardens

Very nice Stephen, that should make a fine site one day.

Ken, I see you live pretty close to Chuck Coffer. I think he's gone back to installing again.

Jerry:

I don't think Chuck is interested. He seems too busy all the time.

That link.....so much to read
Are you familiar with Intuits Site Builder Web Editor?

I plan on linking your site/s from mine. Plus doing some text linking or what ever they call it.

I can vouch for that!

I refused to lower my price.

The guy he has doing them here that is suppose to be NWFACP, is not. I can't find Steve Hume, listed in the directory. 15% mc at a rH of 42% and he blamed manufacturing.

It wasn't hard to get that account!!!

:? Say whut?

I was invited to Ray's website and commented on a few threads. He didn't like what I said and edited my posts to make himself look like some geniuis. Petty and disgusting I have to say.

He edited one of my submitted QuestInspect reports, without asking me. I bitched him out. What he changed it to, did not make sense.

That was the last straw for me. That was 2-3 years ago.

I did an inspection for a home owner just last month and after I had sent him my findings and report, he asked why my findings were totally opposite what the inspector the manufacturer had sent out.
He e-mailed me the report, and it was a Quest Inspect, with Steve Hume as the inspector.

Are you saying one of our panelists Ray Darrah http://www.hardwoodflooringtalk.com/pan ... darrah.htm who owns Questinspect a national flooring inspection brokerage firm edited the report to favor the manufacture? Isn't that like fraud?

No, you read something into what I typed.

It was something concerning moisture and he reworded it. It just didn't make sense, what he changed it to. I'm pretty sure we both agreed it was installation related and not manufacture related.

Is it fraud to edit someone else's report?

The ethical way IMHO is to get or ask the author of the document to change the wording. Because if taken wrong other than which the original author intended and the result would be different where someone other than the intended party gets the shaft then I would say that person who changed the document could be sued for damages. And you could be sued as well.

They are walking a fine line.
