We are looking to purchase some unfinished engineered hardwood to be installed on a concrete slab and are having trouble deciding between Owens Plank Floor, which we understand to be top notch but also a little pricey ($7.75/sq ft) and we have also found somewhat difficult to source, and Pacific Treasures, which is less expensive and much easier to source.

My question is, does anyone know what the true difference is between these brands? I'm struggling to find anything of significance online and I'm getting various opinions from my local installers, so I thought I'd reach out. So, what is/are the major differences between the brands, and is the price differential and difficulty to source between the two worth it?

I appreciate any feedback - thank you!

Can't say much for Pacific. I thought it was a Galleher (CA distributor) product? I could be wrong. Can't go wrong with Owens but it's milled extremely tight that can create some frustration with installation.

Thank you Ken!

Also, to modify my previous post, the quote I got on Owens was incorrect - actually charging $10.25/sq ft.
