I got a new belt floor crafter by American sanders and it’s not cutting properly in my opinion. On the flat surface it is fine but soon as there are high or low spots I get a deep side cut. Is there any way to eliminate this ? I have an older drum galaxy and it doesn’t leave deep side cuts on high spots or low spots. I can press the lever down on the galaxy to take out stains and high spots without cutting in on the sides. With the floor crafter I cannot do this and it will cut in too deep on the edge. I would really like for it to cut like my old machine. I bought a new machine because I need one and tried a belt. My old machine is leaving chatter and I need to replace some parts. Parts are hard to find and there is nobody in my hometown to fix it right away so I had to buy a new machine to use for now and so far I’m not liking it. Any help would be appreciated. I like the floor crafter besides the fact I can’t press the lever down to take out stains and low or high spots because it’ll cut to deep on one side. Thanks for your time.

Do you still have your floor sanding machine? I need it for flooring repairs in my garage.
