i am looking at the 7/16 Santos Mahogany floor from
BR-111.
It looks beautiful and is priced within my budget.
Does anyone have any comments for 7/16 inch floor
or the Santos Mahogany variety?
7/16 is thinner than usual. Is it going to cause troubles?

No problem with the 7/16" Santos Mahogany. Expect to enjoy it for 50 years and more. Great price breaks on large quantities.

Santos Mahogany $ 5.78 Square Foot

Just got a ~50yr hardwood floor removed to put a new one. It must have been originally ~7/16". Other than some squeaks it was in good cond. It is too bad that I could not get it refinished because the previous owner did some floor patch work... If that could hold well for 50years, I believe that as far as thickness is concerned you should be fine.

Yesterday it was replaced with 3x3/4" Santos Mahogany and would be finished in a week or so. I'll post some pics. Should look nice. BTW, it was pretty reasonably priced. So if you do not have a floor height issue, you may want to look at 3/4" itself.
