Whoa...up there with the old Patina solid stuff.

Thats about what the Navarre collection is running.

Snip: Navarre Timeless Wood Floors™ consists of 24 wide plank natural oil finished oak floors in an engineered tongue and groove construction. Three widths and two thicknesses are represented:

· 7 ¼” width in 13/16” and 5/8” thickness

· 10 ¼” width in 13/16” thickness

· 12” wide, 3-strip in 5/8” thickness

According to Erramuzpe, “The 13/16” thickness and its ¼” wear layer is similar to a solid floor but much more stable and offers the option to be glued down over a concrete slab.

Lengths run like 84 inches to 72 inches and 6mm wear layer

I want the video of the first time you lay a 12" wide by 6 foot long plank on the second row, into the glue and try to engage the tongue & groove!!!!

Take it from experience. You will not be so eager to take on another wide/long plank gluedown!

You might show me some pictures of how you tried it and I might enlighten you.

I just finished one, piece of cake. Infact the install went so quick with those widths and lengths. Big, easy money.
Tapping block, Pull Bar, Strap Clamps

Yes, strap clamps are the key, as you beat the crap out of it.

Setting the plank, with that much surface into the glue and it doesn't budge.

Perry, I could see where that might be a problem working by yourself. But using a helper and engaging the T&G before it hits the glue might help.

Did a Kahrs 11" wide by 7 foot planks.

The first time I sat a plank for the second row, panic sat in. It didn't move.

After I fought that first three rows worth of adhesive I had spread. I quit spreading out so much adhesive, so it was really wet and I could slip and slide the plank.

Oh ya... You can easily have a fight on your hands with that tight t&g tolerance. And that soft Spruce back, that the glue sucks down, ( especially if it's flashed), and the porosity of the Spruce back sets the glue even quicker  .
