Hi! I could really use some advice. I had all my floors redone last year and the company used Bona HD Traffic Extra Matte. They looked amazing and then over a period of about 3 months, there was a sheen on my floor from foot prints. This was not a cleaning product as we were not using anything on our floors to clean them. We don't wear shoes in house etc. My floor guy came over and said it looked like branishing (?)- like our feet were buffing the floors. It looked horrible! I found another person across the world (AU) going through the same issue, same product. We decided to live with it and then our house flooded and we have to redo all our floors. My same floor guy wants me to use Bona HD Traffic EM again as he uses it all the time and I refuse. He said that I was "one off" but I don't care. I would be a fool to use the same product. He is offering me Duraseal Matte or Basic Coatings- Street shoe. Any advice on these products or any recommendations for another product for a matte floor? I don't want satin floors. Glitza (?) is no longer sold in Los Angeles County. Our floors have a Custom stain. Im so nervous to do this all again and end up with the same result.
THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I used to use Glitsa because it kept the best look after years. Now I use a quick dry stain, then 3 coats of StreetShoe finish by Basic Coatings. There is matte and Ultra matte. Ultra matte is more expensive. I like to buff with a used purple pad before the first coat of finish to make a smoother floor.

Thank you very much! My floor guy really wants me to use Bona again- even getting the Bona rep to see my floors but I just don’t trust their product. I’m hoping my issue is not an issue with all matte products- that they become shiny with walking and feet. Much appreciated.
