i recently had a bamboo floor installed and i've found that where the seams (tongue & groove) meet, the floor is slightly raised giving the whole floor a wavy effect. it's quite noticeable when the light hits it right or when your shoes are off and you drag your feet along it. my guess is that when they strapped the boards together during the installation, they had it too tight and it caused the seam to raise.

it's 5/8" vertical and has been glued to the concrete pad below.

is there anything I can do about it such a having it sanded and refished?

thanks.,

Sounds like a moisture problem from the concrete slab. I'm sure one of the proffesionals can offer a much better problem resolution.

What you describe is called cupping. While it could have been caused by the strap clamps, it is more probable that moisture from your slab is causing the cupping. Did they perform a moisture test prior to installing the floor? Did they use a moisture barrier system to prevent moisture from getting to the flooring?. If yes to these questions, then it's possible the flooring may return to normal after a period of time. If no attempts were made to control moisture, then the floor may need to be removed and replaced. Sanding it now will flatten it but not solve the moisture problems.
