Hy husband recently installed a prefinished bamboo floating/engineered floor from Lowes (US Floors). Several of the boards seemed to not be cut completely straight, resulting in some gaps. I've heard of wood fillers, but can these be used on prefinished floors? Our dogs also made a couple of big scratches, is there a way to minimize these or ar they just "charachter"? Thanks for the advice!

Gaps can be filled on prefinished floors. Lowe's may have what you need. Ask them. And yes, dogs will tear up your floors. A fact of life.

gotta love them dogs , what i tell people is find a pencil to match the floor color , try to blend it best you can , may take some mixing of things but not to hard to do ,or puttys , then after that take some clear finger nail polish and apply it to the area and let it dry , not the best but will hide alot of it , and cheaper then sanding or replacing , all in all it works pretty good, but by no meens get rid of the dogs lol, hope this works for youand rover

Those quick fix ideas are great and I'll keep them in mind but..

Are there any finishes/tough coating out there to protect pre-finished bamboo in the long run?
