 Post subject: Beginner Question on Matte vs Satin

Is a matte finish different than a Satin finish? It appears some vendors only sell a satin product but I think a matte finish is even less shiny...?

A "Matte" finish, in floor finishing use, typically will have less reflective characteristics than a Satin finish does. There is no universal standard for this. One company's satin may look like another company's matte.
