we would love some input on both the species and the manufacturer. We want to install an engineered wood floor in las vegas, nv. The one we picked out is by Carlton and is the Pacific Walnut from the Avalon line. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this particular product? Very hot in the summer with lots of a/c on and very cold in the winter with the heat on in the house. Thanks so much for any information you might be able to pass on!

I am not familiar with that product. Some brands I like are Mirage and BR-111.

You should talk to Howard (Floorologist) the moderator here. Thats his turf and would know what works best.
