Looking at buying 3.25" butterscotch solid oak flooring. My wife likes the Bruce from Lowes and the Somerset from a local flooring store. The Somerset is $1.30 ($5.70 sq/f) more than the Bruce ($4.40). Any reason I should go with one over the other? Is the Somerset worth the extra $1.30? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be installing.

Thanks!

I think both companies have a good finish. Either floor will last as long as your house if you take care of it. Sometimes to be practical you need to price the whole job. Getting the option of returning extra flooring without paying a re-stocking charge if you have a full box left over will make a difference. The service from each business needs to be appreciated, also.
