I haven't seen Carlton flooring on the Manufacturer's Reviews. Has anyone used this flooring or know anything about their quality? We are considering one of their engineered santos mahogany products...and know nothing about them.

We are also considering a Carlton product, Pacific Walnut in cinnamon. Can anyone out there review this product for me? Also, we are in a dry climate (Las Vegas) and I was wondering what wood species do better in dry, hot and then very cold climates?

Carlton is a quality manufacturer IMO. Infact I've installed a few of their products out here. The Walnut works out well. As a rule...installers in the know out here, stay away from Hickory/Pecan, ( from any mill ).

I will go ahead and send you a PM

You don't install or recommend Hickory? I've been thinking about having Hickory flooring put in my house.

We find engineered Hickory tend to have issues too.

Please re-read the previous posts. My statement was in reference to our conditions in Las Vegas. If your out here, or live in similiar conditions...then yes, a lot of pros feel this way.
