Thanks, I forgot about this blog completely. I'm glad someone commented on my work to snap me back into this great community. I'm looking forward to posting some of more more recent stuff.

About the register, I asked the homeowner if he would like me to perform that work, after he inspected the strength and perfect color match of my flush mounted hardwood vent he opted to leave it.

That seems to be the case more often then not, though I always suggest moving it to a low traffic area..with the reasoning being the usual: "if it were my house i would -----add action here"
