 Post subject: crusty finish

just applied my first coat of emultion to a walnut stained red oak floor .and in a few areas the finish did not adhear and was flakey and crusty.anyone ever have that happen.i think one of the other workers in that house spilt somthing and contaminated the floor cause ive never had that happen.

That is the main reason when I'm working and there are other trades still browsing about, I take full control over the jobsite and everyone else leaves, or I leave and charge you for a rescheduling and blown day. If I don't have full control over the jobsite, I may lose my arse, from someone elses "oops" and that ain't gonna happen. The big reason I don't do builder work, and their misunderstanding they can have every trade running through the area at will, trashing every bit of prep work I have done so far. Who is going to pay my time to back track, over and over and over again????
