I have a country classis scraped pre-finished floor, only been in 4 years ,but i think i have using the wrong cleaner(orange glo cleaner) now floor is more shiny but scrathes that seem to be only in this build up? how can i clean this old stuff off and get back to the finish that is not so shiny and shows everything? i was thinking of using one of those steam type floor cleaners to get the old build up off? Not a good idea to use a steam cleaner on Hardwood, ( injesting moisture).
Orange Glo is supposedly a cleaner and a polishing product. It will leave a shiney film, the more you apply the shinier it gets. The stuff is a maintenance nightmare. From what I understand it's made from valencia orange oil, and very difficult to remove. I would call their customer service department. I'm sure your not the first, and would think they could recommend how to safely remove it. Once you get it off the floor, I would recommend Bona cleaner.
