I just finished milling and installing hardwood floors. I filled all the stable knots with epoxy and saw dust mixture. I also hand scraped the floor. Since I milled it myself the tongue and groove is really hard to get exact, but it turned out pretty good. I am going for a rustic look and I got it. I would like to fill the gaps but I don't want to use regular putty. I have seen a clear wood filler that I can mix saw dust with but I am not sure about this product. Any information on clear wood filler would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Clear lacquer and sanding dust works well. Not sawdust, sanding dust. I usually get it from my edger which makes really fine dust. lacquer dries fast so you can remove excess within an hour. It won't be clear, but will exactly match the wood color.

Thanks Floorpro. So you are saying I can use laquer thinner after I apply the laquer saw dust to clean up the excess. I have some real fine saw dust from my palm sander bag that I can use. I thought about that combination but was not sure about what to do with the excess. I figured I would have to try to sand it off. Great idea Thanks

be careful filling large gaps along the sides of the boards, if the floor expands at all it will push and crumble the filler and look 10x worse than the gap itself. Do you know the m/c of the floor and what you median average is for the area?
