Putting stranded bamboo over cement.
The old tile that was ripped up has left a very sticky adhesive behind. Scraping has not been able to remove this. The bostiks is binding with this adhesive rather than the floor

My question is whats the best way to get this adhesive off? This is a Yikes question b/c it has to be done this weekend. We were under the impression that the floor prep was all completed. Thanks and great site. looking forward to spending more time here

What are you scraping with???

A 4" wide flooring scraper, not the wide 8" that has no leverage what so ever.

Buy a pack of replacement blades and change them often. Mop an area with steaming hot water, and let it sit for a minute, and scrape. Keeps dust down and makes the glue residue like butter.

Stranded on Concrete.

You may wish to think about cleaning that slab surface nicely and putting down a Vapor Emission Sealer.

DriTak has a good one.

I would not install Bamboo directly to concrete without a vapor barrier.
