 Post subject: floor sander trouble?

OK, my galaxy super 8 is giving me trouble, The switch is really loose. So I ordered a new switch (47.50), replaced it and the same thing, Kindahard to explain. I flick it on and nothing. I have to tap the switch so the machine will kick on. It shuts off no problem. All connections tight and clean. Any idea what it could be?

Have you checked the lead wires to see if they are in good condition? Sounds as if you may have a short in the wire itself.
