I have red oak number 2 flooring in my 2003 built home. After we moved in and started running the heating and air the flooring started separating just a bit and we were told this is normal. Due to a small water leak that separated an area of the wood even more the flooring company agreed to fix the area. I got a second opinion and that company said it might need another coat of laminate on the entire surface. I requested that and the original floor company said they would resand and laminate the entire floor. After a couple of months the floor has once again separated even more so than before. Is there a way to fix this problem or is there a way to find out if it was installed correctly.

Some areas of the flooring I can roll a quarter in. Please help

If you find someone with a moisture meter and a hygrometer, you may be in luck on a perfect floor. At this point, it doesn't sound like you have found that guy.
