Which is better at hiding scratches? My hubby thinks gloss will hide them better (we currently have a gloss Bruce floor in our house and it does seem to hide the scratches fairly well). However, almost all the samples we've been getting (and all the ones reasonably priced) have a satin finish.

Opinions?

Gloss factory finishes WERE the standard for years. Now it's satin or low luster. The consensus is, satin will show scratching less.

Satin = less visable scratches.

Dark floors & Gloss = show scratches
