Anyone else ever driven a nail through their hand?

Pneumatic nail guns can be a bitch, I tell you...

I did hit a finger once. Went right through it. Hurt like the dickens.

A year ago I shot a 3" galv. ring shanked nail through my left forearm Did not bleed either

Right out of high school I was helping some buddies that got on a crew, framing homes.

My best friend at the time, and me were hanging the fascia board on the roof line. We had scoffolding up. The board had a bow and I was on one end working it up and down so he could shoot the fascia, into the ends of the rafters. As I was pushing up, the scaffolding collapsed as he was shooting. As I picked myself up off the ground I look to ask if he was ok. There he hung from the fascia. He had popped a nail through his hand, crusifiction style.


He was laughing while I was rolling in pain from the sight of it. My hand started aching!!!!!

about a year ago while putting in bullnose on a job i reached under to make sure i was gonna hit the framing on the landing and blamo sqeezed of a 2in nail through the bullnose right through my thumb had to have one of my guys use a pry bar to get my didget loose....

It's a wonder we are still living.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one whose done that.

Heck, I'm starting to feel like a real pro!
