My hardwood floor about 950 sq is going to be finished with oil based polyurethane. We are going to stay over night with relatives and I wonder how soon would be safe to come back home. Please advice. Thanks
Valeria

If you can get by the house in the morning to open some windows and ventilate a little then you should be fine for sock feet that evening. Dont walk on the floor if its still tacky of course!

I know it's been a while since this was last posted, but I have a question similar to this. I got my 3rd coat down and the floor was looking very decent (I'm a 1st timer). We used the Cabot Satin finish. We waited about 18 hours (slept at our son's house) and came home. It looked good, wasn't tacky at all. We were still waiting for another area to dry so I took 2 steps onto the floor that wasn't tacky any longer to lower the AC temperature. On coming off that floor, I noticed I left 2 sock prints in the finish! Is there any "easy" way to get them out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
