HELP!! We installed new hardwood floors a few months ago and my cleaning lady used a various different cleaners on them unbeknownst to me until I noticed a waxy film on the floors. How can I get this up? I have streaking and a white film on them. I have checked a bunch of hardwood websites and they all say don't use any cleaners other than specific ones recommended by the manufacturer. They are Anderson Hardwood. Pre finished. We redid all of the floors in my whole house so we are talking about 4 large rooms full of hardwood with a white film! UUUGGHH! HELP ME!!! If anyone knows of any product I can use to remove this film PLEASE!!

Mineral Spirits, followed by a dry towel to buff off the residue. Don't smear it all around. wipe one direction and not back & forth.

Get some Basic "squeaky clean"

I have looked through this website and found a product called Bona Refresher. Has anyone used this and does it work. I ordered it but now I'm second guessing myself. Perhaps I should just use the mineral spirits??

Do not use the refresher. Especially if the cleaning lady used wax! It will simply worsen the problem.

Use mineral spirits in a well ventelated room!!!!!!
