Hi,
Purchasing an 1890 folk victorian. Had to have been used as the area party house at one time. House is a foreclosure and previous owners trashed one room. Hardwood floors throughout. Upstairs they stained the floors a dark chocolate color. One bedroom and this is the problem room, the former owners let animals or humans pee all over the carpet till the carpet stuck to the floor. We were able to withstand the smell for a few minutes and peel the throw rug carpet back the real estate agent. The flooring underneath has had all stain removed. trouble is that it's at least a 12 x 20 spot that needs cleaned and redone. How do two first timers handle something like this? It's going to be our bedroom, so it's a top priority. We'd be perfectly happy just to get rid of the smell and wory about sanding and staining later.
Thanks

May or may not work. Worth a try. I have found urine soaked wood floors usually never get the odor completely out. I typically have to replace them.

hello all,
I just noticed your query and wanted to let you know about this site I found.
They talk about how to clean hardwood floors----cleaning floors

But like the man said, you will likely have to replace the bad spots.
