We have found underneath our carpets are nice hardwood floors.
I have cleaned and put a shine on some of the rooms. However my room underneath the pad is a sticky residue. What can I use to remove this stickiness. I appreciate your help.
Also I have been using a 1/2 cup of vinegar to a gallon of water to clean.
Then I have used a product called Holloway house. A quick shine floor finish. Course I just found this site and hope that you can help me with these questions.

Try mineral spirits. Found right next to the paint thinner, in the paint section.
