I am installing lyptus engineered flooring on a concrete slab. The flooring is going in the entry, hallways, and kitchen (all areas are connected).

My entry (a rectangle) runs north-south and intersects with the hallway which runs east-west in both directions off the entry. The hallway then intersects with another hallway and makes a 45 degree turn instead of a 90.

How do I change the direction of my planks from the entry to the hallway? Also, what do I about the hallway that makes the 45 degree turn?

If that is the look your going for, but I find it looks really DIY!!

Why change the direction of the boards? Direction changes are good for the fancy stuff, borders, insets, ect.

You want to get fancy? Use the 45º hall as your straight runs, so the lengths go down the hall. Continue laying off that so your installation is on a 45º to the walls.

Adds some looks, too.
