I am on the middle of my project, installed new hardwood floor and finished with Bona Traffic in two bedrooms, and currently ran into some problem in my walk-in closet. In my closet, which is about 7' x 10', i have build in wardrobe which i disassemble and managed to take it out of the closet (five of them) but only two, and apparently the big one, i can't simply take it out because the wardrobes was assembled in the closet and they simply not fitting into the door. So i guess i have to finish this closed in two steps first finish half of it (two coats of Bona Amber Sealer and three coats of traffic) then let it dry and move these wardrobes into finished area and then finish another half. Does any one ever finished any area in two steps and if so how to make the edge/border between steps seamless?

hang the stuff from the ceiling. nail a 2x4 to the ceiling. attach some screw-in hooks to the 2x4 then hank the furnishing on it.

i wish i can hook up but it's to darn big so it's not even an option, I'm screwed, the only option is in two steps. I guess no one ever done this before which is kind of surprise to me.

I know it's done all the time, but I'm not a sand & finish guy, hopefully one of the s&f pros will chime in. I believe it's a touchy deal that has to do with ending on seams. I believe I've heard using blue painters tape on seams. We'll find out if I'm close. There I am with the blue tape again

If it sits flush to the floor and is not moved why worry about it, go around it

that's what i thought there are must be some cases where you can't avoid this (not even talking about my rare case but where there are a lot of rooms and you need to have 5 - 6 finishers to make in one run but you simply don't have so many skilled professionals)

thought about it too but it's going to bother me all the time later on, i am kind of anal and wants to make everything perfect.

well in case if no one will post anything then here is what i am going to do: tape room in half, apply two coats of bona amber seal and one coat of traffic, remove tape and apply new tape but move it 1/8 inch to the finish area and apply second coat of traffic, remove tape and apply new tape but move it 1/8 inch to the finish area (so all together 1/4 inch) and apply third coat of traffic, then move #$%#^@! wardrobes into finish area and finish the rest of the room applying tape in same pattern but except last one, the lat tape (third coat of traffic) apply 1/4 inch over the first finished area (to have 1/4 inch overlap). Let it cure completely (i think 7 days enough) and then flush it with sand paper up to 2000 grit (to polish) or something like that. i already have my sample board with this type of seam so i can experiment with sanding technique.

Well I may be too late for my idea, but here goes:
Place the units exactly where they belong. Outline the base of the units exactly along the edge using tape.
Remove the units, and finish the areas up to the edge of the tape.
Move the units back into place and remove the tape. Now finish the rest of the space.
If there is any line in the two sections it will be right at the edge of the base, and as such, invisible.
