Ken, you were asking about the perimeter, Bosch hand sander and a multi function tool for the bevels. I'm working on my boss about gettin one. But you know how chinsey those women can get. Veeerrry conservitive with expenditures.

I say, No risk, No reward.

I still think the FA8 is a homerun, with the only alternative being chemical or pads. Both costly and time consuming. Just weighing out the personal pros and cons.

Okay, I looked a little closer on the FA8. They offer three brush attachments with one going to 46 grit...Think color changes can be made on hand scraped floors with that? I see no mention.

Not sure why they make a 46 grit. Again, not sure, but I think thats too coarse to abraid for re-coating, yet I believe you usually go finer grits before staining. Yea, seems to me 46 grit would get you into the stain...then what do you do? Maybe a new distressed look?

Well Howard. By the looks of it, originally there was the 80 and 120 grit after I found an older press release. Then it looks like the 46 was introduced to take care of deeper scratches. There's no mention of being able to re stain and the brochures say it does not alter the distressing. Some highlights...

• Can strip factory-finished sculpted floors without altering the original geometry
• Removes factory finish
• Removes deep embedded scratches from factory finish

Kevin should be able to answer this. I hope he is well..haven't heard much from him.
