Putty and/or fill gaps and cracks. Can't do anything about the staggers except replace the floor. They may suggest a recoat but I don't see that as solving anything. Just a way to throw something your way. I see this situation as a difference in opinion regarding the quality of the installation, not a product defect. Therefore, it is somewhat subjective. Does it meet the MINIMUM industry guidelines in terms of quality? I don't know, and furthermore, there really isn't any standard quidelines to point to. Every manufacturer and association has "suggested" guidelines but there are no hard and fast rules. Since the distributor has a "relationship" with the store, I'd expect them to be a little biased. If you need an un-biased opinion, you will need to hire your own certified flooring inspector. Make sure they are a hardwood flooring inspector. Good Luck.

I was thinking that since Kahrs has the 5 inch joint stagger on the tech sheet in black and white and it states no warrenty if it's not installed to spec then they would be hard pressed to not make it right. I'll wait and see but I think I'll get it looked at if they don't make me comfortable with the floor. Thanks again. Dan

Your in the middle of the nasty dance!!!

Wait for the BS you get. You better get some hip wadders. It is going to get deep.

You may need your own independent inspection done, before you get the proof you need to persuit your claim against the retailer, or installer, which ever you paid for the installation side of things.

The only place you should have seen those shots is here! If you have seen them anywhere else let me know. I still have not heard from the rep. How long should I wait before I call the retailer back? I hate to rush good work! Dan

Call everyday. Maybe twice a day, if your mind tells you to.

I know if someone called me everyday, I would want them out of my hair, quickly.
