I have a Kahr's Castle and Cottage floating floor over a Kahrs blue pad. I finally got around to installing the square nose reducer to transition to the next floor. Much to my surprise the reducer overhangs the kahrs floor by about 3/16 of an inch!? This is even after cutting away the pad under the reducer to get it lower. Yes, it is fully seated on the plastic mounting strip... ANd I can easily replicate it using a scrap of floor and the scrap of reducer.

So has Kahrs always manufactured this to the wrong height and not bothered to fix it? I can't imagine how it could be a one-off defect.

Cutting it lower won't be easy as it has sits on the plastic strip. I would have to cut the bottom to two different heights and deepen the groove for the plastic mounting strip. Shouldn't have to do that on a freakin $75 piece of trim.

Any sympathies, thoughts, or suggestions?

Get rid of the plastic strip, cut off some height and glue it down. Those strips for me go in the trash, more hassle than they are worth.
