I read that if your laying over existing hardwood then you must go against it. What I have is old hand hune floor joists, then old HD Woods, then 1/2 " plywood. The joists and old HW area running against each other. I really want to run the new HW in the same direction as the old HW. Make sence?
Is it ok to do this?

If you have 1/2 ply over exsisiting hardwoods than it's ok to run the floor in the same direction as the original floor, it's the only way I would reccomend it being done.
