Is a matte finished dark colored hardwood flooring is better or shiny white toned hardwood get the perfect look for a bright living room? Can any one suggest?

White colored flooring does not show dust as much as a dark floor. The disadvantage of a white floor is that as it gets worn the re-coating process will show worn areas as dirty looking , where the brown colored flooring will help the wear to blend in, after it has had traffic for a long time.
