We planned on installing engineered Tarkett Maple flooring to our kitchen floor. Our house is 40+ years old, and it is on concrete slab. Pulling up the vinyl flooring made it obvious we do have a moisture problem, specifically near the door to the converted garage, and in front of the oven.
What do we need to do to seal the floor, and what would the best adhesive be? The "Bostiks" (sp?) isn't available to us. We're just DIYers and it isn't even sold locally.
Thanx.

According to Tarkett's installation instructions, you should not install their flooring.

I would find the source of the moisture and eliminate that. Then if the slab still tests too high, consider Taylor's "Lock Down" moisture control sysyem.

OR Franklin's 531 and 811 system

You probably won't be able to get these products at HD or Lowe's. Go to a flooring distributor near you or order online.
