we are about to install an end cap at an exterior door, but we found that the end cap we have is too short for the two side exterior door we have. What should we do? Glue two end caps together? That is the only solution I can think of right now, but it may not look too good. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Trim molding only come so long in lengths. You will have to splice.
