Greetings, I’ve been able to narrow my choice down to the following and thoughts you might have would be greatly appreciated:

Muskoka Ash in a darker stain

BR 111 Brazilian Cherry

Both manufactures appear to provide an above average product and I’m aware that the Brazilian Cherry has the advantage of being a harder wood

My questions are:

The Muskoka only comes in a Classic grade, which according to the manufacture is a mixture of prime and rustic grades, so I should expect a wide variation of natural color and character. Does any noe have experience with this manufacture and Ash? What are your experiences?

The BR 111 Cherry is my favorite for color and look but I’m very concerned about color change. When in the store the sales rep lifted and piece of cardboard that had been partially covering the sample. The color change was dramatic. I could live with the color change if it was even, my primary concern is what happens when furniture or area rugs are in place and it changes unevenly? I plan to install the flooring in the LV & DN, which both receive lots of direct sun light. How can I make sure the floor will change evenly?

Thanks for your thoughts
Kevin

Move area rugs frequently the first 12 months.

After a year or so does the color change stop?

Thanks
Kevin
