Is there any possible way to sand a floor without countersinking the nails? There are a lot of them in a floor I;m getting ready to do

If the nails heads are exposed, they need to be hand set. If you don't, you risk ruining the drum sander head, damaging the sandpaper and the most problematic, potentially starting a fire from the sparks catching the sawdust on fire.

Thanks most valuable contributor. I was afraid of that. Was hoping there was some kind of trick I didn't know about.
