I had bamboo floor installed in my living room it looks nice. I am in process of renting it out and I don't want to take chance of tenants may ruin it. Is there a temporary cover? I thought about laying a vinyl sheet on top but doesn't bamboo floor needs to breathe? Also worry about the stain or reaction it may cause due to the contact over a year of renting.

Also thought about thin rug. Any suggestion how to cover the floor so it won't be scratch and keep dirt away but not causing side effects when covering the entire floor over a period of time.

Also is it safe to put laminate tiles on top of the bamboo floor? I won't peel out the adhesive so I can just take it off when tenants leave.

Cover it with area rugs. The more the better!

You can loose lay carpet but it wont be pretty. There is also a Pee-pad that wont allow urine or water to go through it.
