 Post subject: NEED HELP ON WATER DAMAGE

I have a floating wood floor(Maple). My hot water tank leaked a small amount of water damaging/staining my floor. How do I repair the damaged area without replacing the planks? Sand and re urethayne????

Doug,
Sorry none of us "experts" replied. The reason is on something like this, it is hard to advise someone without being able to see the problem. Also, water stains are tricky. Sometimes they're surface and can be sanded out and other times, the stain goes deep, making replacement the only option for repair. I say, go ahead and try to sand it out. What have you got to lose! If it doesn't work, you'll have to replace anyway. Good luck!
