Hey everyone, thanks in advance for taking the time to help. In short, My house was water damaged duo to burst pipes. The engineered wood floor (about 1100 SF) needed to be replaced. Before signed contract with the contractor, the contractor told us all old wood floor and old glue would be removed before installing new engineered wood floor. Now the contractor refuses to remove all old glue from concrete slab floor and told us he only scrapped up the glue to the best he could, which led to 96% old glue still there unremoved. He told us this is their routine and old glue on the concrete slab does not affect the installing of new engineered wood floor. Is it truth? What are the options for me next? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

As long as he's using the same type og adhesive so there aren't any compatibility issues and there aren't any lumps left over you will be fine
