I had 4 inch R&Q sawn red oak installed and one board has a stripping that I don't care for. Installer says he can cut it out and glue and new piece in. Will I screw up the integrity of the floor or will it be ok? Thanks.

The only thing that you may notice when a new board is installed if it was pre-finished would be that one end would be missing the slight chamfer that goes around the whole board, if it had a bevel around each board. Gluing a new board will not hurt the integrity of your floor.

This is unfinished hardwood. So, I should be good, right? Thank you for replying.

Replace the "bad" board before sanding, or before the final coat of finish is spread over the whole floor.
