Hello, I just had 4" White Oak flooring Installed and it doesn't look like I expected to. We decided to go with a natural finish. I am disappointed there is so many variations in the wood. I asked for clear, the bundles said select.
I expected more consistency, am I wrong and this is typical for what I asked for?

Did th3e contractor say he could get clear plank?
Usually clear is available in 2.25 inch strip flooring, I believe.
Over time the wood will become more even darkening to a golden color.

Yes, We requested the wider board thinking it was more contemporary. It appears we should have done our homework, we only looked at samples online.
