"Quality Floor Co" now appears to have appointed himself as grandmaster of all wood floor related subjects. He has seen fit to dig up old posts, then proceeds to tell us professionals with decades of experience, how we're doing things "wrong". This type of attitude does not set well with me. It shows disrespect for myself and others and their experience and knowledge. I will not tolerate it much further. If "Quality" cannot temper his remarks and continues to disrespect the alumni of this forum, he will be gone. Period.

Only digging up old post because I'm still learning my way around,Sorry.
My comment wasn't meant to say he doesn't know,I was simply implying that if you use too fine of a paper the stain will not take very dark....I have used 60 paper to get the floor to take the stain darker and had no problem with it holding up or any other problems... So Dennis please except my apology

Could be a vaild point. We're all new to message boards at one time or another. I can recall doing the same thing 10-11 years ago. I didn't know any better. Let's give our newcomer a good second chance.

No apology necessary, my issue is with the term "wrong" when it comes to a trade that has so many variables in how to achieve a desired result.
