Well, I thought I would go ahead put up some pics of my project. A complete remodel of our great room..... kitchen, living, and dining area. Along with the hallway, and eventually all three bedrooms.

We are pulling the carpeting that is 15yo, and badly stained. We have decided to go with a PacNW tradition, and install Douglas Fir flooring throughout the entire main floor of our house.

Well, here's some pics to start. I know this is a hardwood flooring forum, but this is sort of all part of the project.

The first half of the great room is installed, and already stained and finished with Varathane High Traffic oil based urethane. After I install the kitchen cabinets on top, then I can move the dining room furniture back, and complete the other side of the great room.

The wood was nailed down finished with Minwax Pre-Stain, Minwax Early American stain, and then the Urethane. Exact same procedure will be done on the other side of the great room.

Now, I just have to wait for my kitchen cabinets to show up, so I can git 'er done!!!
