Anyone have any feedback on Pro Comfort Floor Tools retrofit system? I always use my BOSTITCH with no extension at all so I have greater control. To me this retrofit system seems like trying to control a power lawnmower with a broom handle but I am open to hear what your experience has been.

I dont have that tool, but I do have the super 7 edger attachment for stairs, it is solid construction, and works just as it should.

I have the long handled Powernail gun, but use the short handled gun instead. If you'll notice in the pic he is still bent over. That position bothers my back, so I always end up down on the floor with the short handle gun. I'm on my knees but my back is straight.

I looks to me like the slightly bent position would be more stressful on the back too.

When I was installing gyms I took two pieces of maple flooring and made an extension for the cleats and tapped holes in the side of my nailer and attached it with threaded bolts and steel brackets. It saved having to stop to reload as the nailer could now hold three clips of cleats.

It's not the bending over that kills your back but the standing up, bending over, standing up, bending over... that does it in.

You have to put weight on the handle to help with back fatigue. If you are allowing your back muscles to do all the work, you are going to be sore in any bent over position. Weight distribution is certainly key.

I have one now. That shows you how long ago this picture was taken.
