All,
We are having engineered BR111 Amendoim glue down installation over concrete slab. According to the manufacturers spec the concrete slab needs to be flat to within 3/16 of an inch over 10 feet.
The installer claims this spec applies only "in the direction parallel to the wood installation". The issue I have is in the direction perpendicular to the wood installation the concrete slab has a valley of 1/2 of an inch over 6 feet. I want that valley flattened out to within 3/16th of an inch both parallel and perpendicular to the wood install. The installer thinks I am being perfectionist. I think I am being prudent to get the floor installed right. The installer insists on an extra 1000 dollars since my request is above and beyond a normal installation. I think it is time to find a new installer. What do you all think, am I being overly perfectionist?
Thanks
