 Post subject: proper use of a T-bar?

What is the proper method to use one of these to spread bona traffic? And, should I use the Bona branded applicator, or can I get by with a lambwool one from Padco? Any suggestions on the weight?

I just want to make sure I avoid streaks and extra thick or thin spots.
