Hi all,
New to the forum and this is my first post. I do buff and recoats with the Bona Recoat System, but was recently contacted by a customer who wants me to stain and apply two coats of Bona Traffic HD.

He sanded the 700 sq ft of red oak flooring himself and did a good job, however, he did the final pass with a 220 grit screen. I'm concerned that the grain will be too tight to take the stain - and a dark stain at that. If I do a wetter than normal water pop will we be okay? Or should he do one more pass with 100 grit?

Just dampen the surface. You should have a color sample made from flooring to see how intense the color will be using the same finish sanding.
