Hello,

How do you guys refinish the existing treads? I have existing oak treads and I would like to refinish them. Should I leave them in-place and sand them or should I take them out first and sand them?

What is the best way to strip the old finish along the edges and corners if I leave them in place.

Thank you in advance.

As a pro, I sand in place with a Clarke edger,

then scrape the corners by hand with a wood scraper

Then final sand either by hand or using a ROS.
