Hello, I just completed my 3/4"x5" pre finished maple install, 12'x33'. For the first row I used two to three 1-3/4" GRK finish head screws per board with 1-3/4" 15 ga. top nails and 15ga. 2" toe nails. I have 1" thick osb and also used 2" staples. Should I consider removing the finish head screws now because of possibly causing extra resistance to expansion? I have the standard 3/4" spacing on the first and last rows. I live in No. VA and keep the Rh about 50%. Thanks

The only reason to remove the screws would be if you didn't like the look of the plugs on one side of the room only - besides, removing them would still require filler or plugs if you didn't replace the boards. You'll be fine for expansion.
