I am currently removing some real old carpet that covers hardwood. The carpet and foam are glued down and pretty old. Any suggestions on how to remove the glue and old foam with out using any Harsh Chemicals? Thank you in advance.

Are you saying the carpet is glued to the pad , and the pad to the floor ? if so, you are going to have to scrape the pad with a scraper . When i do vinyl and have to remove some glue , i spray it with WD 40 and wipe with a clean white rag .. if that dosent work , you can try Taylors seam solvent .. and wipe it clean .. hope this helps ..

Yes, the foam is glued to the Hardwood, and the carpet is glued to the foam, big mess...I can send a picture if that woould help me to explain better...
